Single men outnumber single women

The widespread perception that Hong Kong has a surfeit of single women was exploded by statistics produced yesterday. There are more single men than single women in every age group from 20 to 49, show figures presented by new Census and Statistics Commissioner Fung Hing-wang yesterday.

This is despite the fact that men are marrying mainland women in ever-increasing numbers.
